Corrugated steel silos for aggregate storage & blending
Modular steel silos engineered for gravel, sand and ore fractions. Delivering high-capacity storage, controlled blending and efficient load-out in quarry and mining operations.
Integrated storage and blending
ViaPlate steel silos can be installed as single units or configured into multi-silo banks to store separate grain sizes. Positioned usually above conveyor tunnel systems, they enable controlled blending and precise gradation at load-out without long internal transfer runs.
Capacity & geometry
Silo diameter and height are selected based on required storage capacity. Usable capacity depends on outlet number, placement and operational fill levels.
Multiple outlets
Each silo supports multiple discharge points for simultaneous or selective load-out of stored fractions.
Rapid load-out
Outlet geometry and placement are optimized to maximize discharge rates and minimize downtime.
Discrete fraction discharge
Individual outlets allow independent discharge of separate grain sizes for targeted product control.
Controlled blending
Simultaneous discharge from multiple outlets enables precise blending ratios at the load-out point.
Engineered steel construction
Bolted corrugated steel plates form the cylindrical shell. External circumferential stiffener rings are bolted to the shell and anchored to the foundation to carry hoop forces and distribute loads.
Integrated hopper cones for controlled material flow
Wear liners positioned at high-impact zones
Plate thickness selected according to diameter and load
Why choose steel for aggregate storage?
High capacity, compact layout
Corrugated steel construction achieves large storage volumes within minimal ground footprints, allowing efficient plant layout even on constrained sites.
Fast modular installation
Factory-produced components are assembled on site using bolted connections. No welding and no curing, projects move from foundation to commissioning in weeks rather than months.
Expandable & reconfigurable
Additional silos or outlets can be added to existing banks as operational requirements grow. The modular system adapts to evolving production plans without major rework.
Relocatable & durable
Steel silo components can be disassembled and relocated to new sites. Hot-dip galvanized plates provide long-term corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
Integrated under-silo tunnels
ViaPlate silos can be combined with under-silo tunnels for protected conveyor routing and automated load-out. This enables controlled discharge and protected material handling beneath the silo bank.
Engineered performance for reliable operations
ViaPlate steel silos are designed to support efficient storage, controlled blending and rapid load-out within demanding mining and quarry operations.
The system reduces civil works compared to massive cast-in-place construction and enables shorter installation windows. Multi-outlet layouts allow controlled blending to maintain product quality, while fast discharge improves throughput. Modular construction supports phased plant development and future expansion.
Each silo installation is engineered according to specified operating conditions. ViaCon performs structural capacity calculations and sizes the silo diameter, height, outlet configuration and optional under-silo tunnel to match required capacity and load demands.
From concept development and layout optimization through structural calculations, component supply and installation guidance, ViaCon acts as an engineering partner throughout the project lifecycle.
